FARNBOROUGH STAMP AND POSTCARD CLUB
The Club is a comfortable venue for meetings for buying and selling between members, auctions, competitions, displays and evenings with visits from a variety of experts. We are known as a friendly Club. The Club is affiliated to the Hampshire Philatelic Federation.
The Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month 7.30 pm (except August) at
Royal British Legion
51 Cambridge Road East
Farnborough
Hampshire GU14 6QB
The annual subscription is £7.00.

Club History
The Club was formed in 1964 as the Royal Aircraft Establishment Philatelic Society. This officially folded in 1990 but some members decided to start the Farnborough Stamp Club, which was founded in 1991 and was later renamed Farnborough Stamp and Postcard Club.
Activities
The programme is varied with visiting speakers, displays and competitions as well as dealers' evenings, an auction and ample opportunity for members to buy and sell at meetings.
The exchange packet round is popular, giving members the opportunity to buy and sell. We provide a packet round for some of the local clubs.
Our members are drawn from Farnborough, Aldershot, Ash, Fleet, Yateley and the Surrey borders. There is a wide range of collecting interests including stamps, postcards, covers, postal history and postmarks. If you are new to collecting or are reviving an interest then members are happy to help and advise.

Resumption of activities from 1st September 2021

The Club is very pleased to announce that meetings will resume in September and the committee wish to thank the staff of the Royal British Legion Club for their advice and assistance enabling us to do so. Please see the Programme page for further information about planned activities.
The health and safety of everyone will always be of the utmost importance. This does mean everyone, our members, Legion members, Legion staff etc. To help to achieve this please note the following. Some of the points have been agreed with the Legion where appropriate.
The first meeting will be a members' buy and sell session. Whilst the handling of material was initially considered to be a potential means of spreading the Covid-19 virus, the position on this has now changed and such activity is now considered to be safe. Therefore we will not be asking members to “quarantine” any material prior to bringing it to the meeting, neither will we be sanitising it.
The Legion will have hand sanitisers in place around the Club. Please feel free to use these or bring your own.
The wearing of masks is optional and down to each individual. The Legion itself is cleaned regularly and tables in the bar left apart. If members wish to sit apart in the hall that will be fine. All hirers of the hall are being asked to sanitise any tables used.
We are asked to not enter through the main doors at the front, but to walk round the right hand side of the club to the doors at the rear. We will also leave through the same door. Toilets for our use are adjacent to the entrance of the hall, and we are welcome to use the bar!! The Legion are asking all hirers in the day and the evening to respect these requirements, as they are trying to limit the number of people walking in and through the club.
Members should not attend meetings if they have a temperature; have a new continuous cough; have lost or experienced a change in their sense of smell or taste, have cold-or flu-like symptoms or have been in physical contact in the last 14 days with someone who is now self-isolating.

If you are interested in joining the Club or would like to attend as a guest, please don't hesitate to contact our Club Secretary by email.
